Which classes do you teach online?
Why did you start teaching?
I started as a substitute teacher in my children's schools as a way to be involved in their education and in our town. I found that it was amazing and went back to school as a very much older, non-traditional student to pursue a late-life career. It's one of the best decision I ever made!
What advice would you give to prospective online RN to BS in Nursing students?
Your General Education and Humanities courses greatly enrich your professional--and personal--life as a nurse. Because personal interaction is so essential to your job, studying works of art like film help to give us all insight into human behavior in ways that are not available anywhere else.
What is the one book you think everyone should read?
Too hard!! I was an English major--I can't narrow it down to one!!
Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students may not know.
As my first career--straight out of college--I was a banker and dealt with large corporations all over the US. One piece of this was working with the Hollywood film industry in L.A.
